Our Wedding

In 2011, Shannon moved to Shoreham with her family and started 5th grade in Mrs. Wills’ class, and in that class was Ryan. While they weren’t instant friends, they talked and poked fun at each other, and Ryan had his first crush. Through middle school, they became closer through a mutual friend (David, Best Man) and having classes together. Thus began the cycle of being besties, Shannon friend zoning Ryan, and then beefing with each other. This cycle continued into high school, but eventually settled into becoming best friends. During their junior year, while Ryan was performing in the school’s musical, Shannon was watching with Natalie (Maid of Honor), and realized that maybe she does have a crush on Ryan. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best timing to make this realization, but she knew that somehow they would end up together. So, she waited, and in their senior year, all the stars aligned. They became official on October 27th, 2018 and got to enjoy their final year of high school together. They then went off to college 6 hours apart. But those 4 years went by fast, and during the fall semester of their senior year, Ryan called Shannon to tell her that he got a job offer in Buffalo (a place Shannon said she would never move). That next July, they made the move to start their life together and quickly fell in love with WNY (and the Buffalo Bills of course). They now have two cats, Mabel and Oliver, and Shannon’s horse, Coach, and are loving life in Buffalo. On August 2nd, 2025, Ryan got down on one knee in one of their favorite parks and asked Shannon to marry him (spoiler: she said yes). They celebrated the whole day with their parents and best friends who flew in for the occasion! They are looking forward to their future, wherever it may take them, and are grateful to continue to grow up together. 🤍
